Our Services
What We Provide
Piano Tuning
Many people ask us how often your piano needs to be tuned. While most piano companies recommend at least every 6 months for optimal performance, for the average user, your piano should not go more than a year because seasonal shifts in the atmosphere’s temperature and humidity will cause the piano to go slightly out of tune. If your piano goes significantly longer than a year between tunings, you run the risk of needing an additional tuning, called a pitch raise in addition to the typical fine tuning normally required. Your piano will enjoy a longer, more satisfying life anyway with regular servicing.
Piano Repair
From minor repairs like sticking keys to repairing tuning pins and broken strings, our technicians would be happy to look into solutions for whatever problem your piano may face. Feel free to give us a call about whatever repair your piano may need!
Regulation
Did you know there are as many as 4000 moving parts in a piano? That’s many more than the average car! Even under normal use, all those parts should be serviced and lubricated, and the minute adjustments that keep those parts working in harmony should be maintained. Ask our technicians about regulating your piano to give it the best possible feel and playability.
Piano Lifesaver Systems
Over time, especially in central Illinois, drastic seasonal humidity and temperature changes take their toll on the wooden parts of a piano, especially the soundboard, which can crack over time. Piano Lifesaver Systems include a dehumidifier bar and humidifier system to provide stable environmental conditions inside the piano, extending its life. Our technicians would be happy to discuss installing a system in your piano!
